Lady Gaga- Telephone Music Video Review

The video features Lady Gaga versions of typical prison clothes. It also features some of the crazy accessories she is known for such as cigarette glasses and coke can hair rollers. The lighting is generally very bright throughout. This coincides with the light heartedness of the video as it is obviously not meant to be taken too seriously. There is a stuttered movement effect used to go with the way that she says ‘what’ while on the phone to mimic a phone cracking up. The video is set in a prison and features areas such as the cells and the prison yard. The camera shots have been edited to go in time with the beat of the music One camera shot that stood out to me was the close up of Lady Gaga’s face while she was on the phone. She stares into the camera as she sings and it is like she is singing to the viewer. The genre of music is pop. The style of video is a mix between concept and narrative.
